The Seasonal Violence Fund provides a programme of targeted activity across the region to prevent spikes in serious violence.

The programme features a range of initiatives aimed at disrupting violent offenders and improving feelings of safety, including extra patrols, uniformed officers and diversionary activities for young people.

We are committed to identifying individuals causing significant harm in communities and diverting them from crime, which is why we work closely with Community Safety Partnerships, Northumbria Police and a range of youth and community organisations, in a bid to tackle serious violence together.

This has resulted in programmes of targeted activity taking place over the summer and winter periods.
