Local Criminal Justice Boards (LCJBs) bring together criminal justice organisations at police force area level to support joint working and improve services.
Police and Crime Commissioner Kim McGuinness chairs the Northumbria LCJB and is working with members to increase public confidence in the criminal justice system and support people to feel safe in their local communities.
In Northumbria we want to deliver an effective and efficient local criminal justice system. We want to provide the best support possible for victims, witnesses, defendants and their families.
A key priority for Kim McGuinness is preventing crime. You can find out more about the work of her Violence Reduction Unit in supporting the LCJB to reduce re-offending by addressing the reasons for offending here.
