The Local Youth Fund offers young people the opportunity to bid for projects and activities that have a benefit to them and the communities they live in.
Violent crime has no place in communities, and through our Local Youth Fund, young people have the chance to put forward innovative ideas on how they think serious violence and knife crime could be prevented.
- Empower young people to participate in decision making processes, related to preventing violent crime in their communities.
- Provide a platform for young people to share their views, experiences and innovative ideas in tackling serious violence and knife crime.
- Raise awareness amongst young people on the impact of violent crime, including providing opportunities to develop key skills for their future.
- Inspire young people to develop and lead on their own projects that will make a difference to their local area, with a key focus on preventing serious violence and knife crime.
There are currently no funding rounds available.
Thanks to previous rounds of this fund, over £42,000 has already made a difference to around 5,200 young people through projects and activities they have developed themselves, including a variety of sports activities, training programmes for personal development, improving local areas and a focus on health and well-being.
